US Men's Gymnastics Team Qualifies for Team and Individual Finals at Tokyo Olympics
Five Gymnasts Advance
Mikulak, Malone, Moldauer, and Wiskus to Represent USA in Team Final
TOKYO, Japan (July 26, 2021) - The United States men's artistic gymnastics team has qualified for both the team and individual finals at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
The team, consisting of Brody Malone, Yul Moldauer, Shane Wiskus, and Sam Mikulak, finished fifth in the team competition on Monday, July 26. The top eight teams advanced to the team final, which will be held on Monday, August 2.
In addition to the team competition, Malone, Moldauer, and Wiskus all qualified for individual finals. Malone and Moldauer advanced to the all-around final, while Wiskus qualified for the floor exercise final.
The United States has a long history of success in gymnastics, and this year's team looks poised to continue that tradition. The team is led by two-time Olympian Mikulak, who is competing in his third Olympic Games.
The men's gymnastics team will be back in action on Monday for the team final. The all-around final will be held on Wednesday, July 28, and the floor exercise final will be held on Saturday, July 31.
